She travelled over the length and breadth of the Gironde, over a period of two years, in order to record the sounds of the natural environments and activities that make up the territory of the Gironde.
A CD has been designed on the basis of this work, presenting 23 tracks for the same number of different places.

The audio tracks illustrate contrasting atmospheres, from the quiet of the countryside to the bustle of crowds: the overall result is eclectic and reflects the many different sides of the territory.

Like a walker who pauses to contemplate the landscape, Sandie Vendôme wanted to give listeners the time to get the feeling of the places, over a length of time allowing them to bathe in the atmosphere.

The choice of places and subjects was made as her exploration of the locations progressed, and also according to the Gironde's local identities: the pervasive presence of water, forests, the coast and vineyards etc.
