Details of all of the European operational programmes for the period 2007-2013 are given below. They represent a total amount of around €715M in European funding for Aquitaine and its territories.
Regional-Departmental Agreement on Objectives 2007-2013
The agreement on objectives establishes a new form of cooperation between the Regional and the Departmental authorities. It is the first agreement of its kind in the Gironde and is unique to date in Aquitaine. It fixes mutual undertakings, by each of the two respective levels of local authorities, in support of actions for structural sustainable development of the Gironde up to the year 2013.
The Conseil Général is engaged in partnerships with several regions of Africa and Europe. It has been involved with Houet Province in Burkina Faso since 1993 and, since 2003, with Adrar Province in Algeria and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (Szczecin) in Poland. In addition, the Conseil Général organises a European Citizenship Competition in partnership with the association France-Libertés Gironde and the local schools inspectorate of Bordeaux. Furthermore, it works with the associations of the Gironde in bringing together projects concerning Senegal, Turkey and Morocco, three countries that have large national communities in the department.
Le Conseil Général organise le 10 novembre un séminaire intitulé "La cohésion entre présent et avenir, l'innovation numérique au service des territoires".
Le 20 septembre, dans le Hall de l’immeuble Gironde, sera inaugurée l’exposition des 125 photographies illustrant les 125 métiers du Conseil Général de la Gironde.
Depuis septembre 2010, le Conseil Général a accueilli 4 fonctionnaires étrangers (1
algérien, 2 turcs et 1 burkinabé) venus en Gironde pour rencontrer leurs
partenaires, participer à une formation, etc...
